Inter-branch loans and Interlibrary loan

How can I

borrow material from a Branch library or another academic library?

Inter-branch loan service enables library members to borrow material held by another TEI of Epirus Library (Main Library of Arta or Branch libraries of Preveza, Ioannina and Igoumenitsa). If no library has the item in request, users may submit an Interlibrary loan request from another Greek academic library. The TEI of Epirus Library participates in the National Network of Scientific and Technological Libraries and the Hellenic Interlibrary Loan Network (HIlL-net).

How can I

submit an Interlibrary loan request

The TEI of Epirus Library participates in the National Network of Scientific and Technological Libraries and the Hellenic Interlibrary Loan Network (HIlL-net). Therefore, library members may submit interlibrary loan requests or document delivery requests for article photocopies from other Greek academic libraries.  The service is available to all library members provided that the requested material is not owned by the Main Library or any of the Branch libraries.

Interlibrary loan

Library member completes an Interlibrary loan request form at the library site they belong to.  Library processes the request and notifies the member for its course.

The lending period is similar to that for items held by local library unless otherwise requested by the lending library.

Items can be picked up by the requester at the Circulation Desk of the Library the library member belongs to, and returned at the same point. Items should be kept in good condition. In case of repeated delay or return of damaged material, users will be required to replace it or pay compensation equal to its market price within one (1) week.

The cost of the service is chargeable to the user in total.
